The automotive and entertainment industries are on their way designing ever more compact lighting systems with high brightness, color excellence and best possible resolution.
Accordingly precision optics are designed with more complex shapes. In particular, non-round aspheres and light guides made of glass are key for those systems. The starting material is Auer Lighting´s borosilicate glass SUPRAX®, guarantor of low dispersion, coating enhancement and high resistance towards thermal load.
The production of such optics require correspondingly complex pressing tools. Those tools are manufactured on our CNC-controlled 5-axis precision milling machines. The most recent addition of yet another milling machine will help to further boost precision and output of our inhouse tool shop.
