Targeted measures taken by the company have reduced water consumption by 74% since 1995.
Significant savings are achieved through the use of efficient recirculation of cooling water and production water. Continuous filtration is carried out in the company's own water treatment plants.
To ensure that water as a resource meets quality requirements, the deionized water needed for production is produced using a new osmosis water treatment plant. This eliminates the need for hydrochloric acid and caustic soda.
Apart from rainwater, Auer Lighting does not discharge any production or cooling water directly into public waters.
