Hybrid Lighting: Brighter and Lighter
The know-how involved in these little halogen lamps is not visible to the eye. But its effect is: Hybrid Lighting clearly provides more light while using less electical power. For example a 35 watt hybrid lamp puts a conventional 50 watt halogen lamp in the shade and the 50 watt hybrid version finds a standard 75 watt type an easy match.
Cost savings
Thanks to better luminious efficiency it is possible to replace
a 12V/75W/4000h standard halogen lamp with
a 12V/50W/4000h hybrid lamp with infrared coating
This correspond to a power decreas of 25 watt per lamp for the same luminance. Having 4000h of service life on average and energy costs of 0,19 €/kWh (without VAT), the consumer will save up to 19,--€ for a lamp during the entire service life.
It is not only in small households that the savings in energy pay for themselves. Above all commercial "luminaires", for instance in hotel lobbies or large showrooms, can profit from more light with less heat. Areas such as these call for not only ideal lighting but also a pleasant atmosphere. "Cold" light can also result in cost savings regarding the size of airconditioning units.
